All exercises are performed on an exercise mat in a group setting of 6 - 9 people. A balanced mat class will include exercises that strengthen, tone and stretch the whole body; there will be flow of movement threading together flexion, extension and rotation of the spine; performing conscious, precise movement focusing on a strong core and proper breathing as the foundation of each exercise.
If you are new to Pilates you will start with the Foundation level class, then progress to Beginner and eventually to the Intermediate and Advance level of strength and proficiency. We use magic circles, foam rollers, exercise bands, hand and ankle weights, balance pads, yoga blocks, small and big balls to add to our mat workout and repertoire.
